About Rev. Swan, Interfaith Chaplain

Rev. Sally Swan is an ordained Interfaith Minister through the Chaplaincy Institute, an interfaith seminary and community based in Berkeley, CA.  She serves as Chaplain with the Coast Hospital in Fort Bragg and coordinated the chaplaincy program at the Hospital for four years.  Sally is a member of the Mendocino Presbyterian Church, a certified Yoga Teacher, Zen practitioner, and a lover of the majestic nature in our coastal community.  Trained in critical incident stress management, Sally is experienced in supporting individuals and groups during and after traumatic and critical events.  Sally is currently enrolled in the Doctorate of Ministry program at the Graduate Theological Union / Pacific School of Religion.

Sally is also a certified Animal Chaplain who provides blessings and memorials for pets; and she advocates for furry, finned, and feathered beings who share our earthly home.  Concern for the welfare of all beings leads Sally to volunteer as a field rescuer with The Marine Mammal Center and with the Oiled Wildlife Care Network.
